Avery-Copp House Museum
Museum demonstrations, house tours and children’s activities. Meet a Revolutionary War re-enactor. Dog friendly site.
Bill Memorial Library
The Bill Memorial Library will be open from 10 am–3 pm, with the Friends’ annual book sale running from 11am–2pm on the library lawn. The sale includes gently used DVDs and books for adults, teens and children.
Ebenezer Avery House
The Ebenezer Avery House and Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Groton Heights Open House Day. Enjoy free tours of 18th century house museum.
Fort Griswold Battlefield
Climb 166 steps to the top of the Groton Monument, Museum Open House, and tours of Fort Griswold at 10:00 am, noon, and 2:00 pm. Meet Abby Slocomb, designer of the CT State flag at 12:30 pm.
Groton Congregational Church
Learn about the church’s more than 300 years of history and tour the sanctuary to see the beautiful stained glass windows. Open house from 10am -3 pm
Submarine Veterans WWII Memorial East
Visit the SUBVETs WWII Memorial which honors the 52 boats lost during WWII. See the sail of the WWII submarine USS Flasher and the Wall of Honor which lists the submariners who gave their lives.
Thames River Heritage Park
Free half hour narrated boat tours beginning at 10:30 am. Tours are first come, first served, and no reservations are required.
